503 Service Unavailable

These are the most common reasons for this error:

  • The IIS web server is busy (i.e. running maintenance routines or requests have exceeded maximum allowed). This is usually a temporary issue.
  • The IIS web server has crashed. If you still get the 503 error after a few minutes, you must go to the web server and reset IIS.
  • The West Wind WebConnection application pool is not running. To start the application pool:
    1. Open the IIS Manager.
    2. Click the Applications Pools option in the Connections pane.
    3. Click the West Wind WebConnection application pool in the list.
    4. Click the Start option in the Actions pane.
