Augusta was growing! Student Manager had been their software for several years, but as their conferencing and bookkeeping needs expanded they wanted a stronger software package. Denise Moore, Operations Manager of the Department of Continuing Education at Augusta State University, began to shop around and selected a new product offered by ACEware - Student Data Center. "It was a little rough in the beginning" says Moore, "but now it does everything we want it to do. We've been using the software for several years, and the web module has been in place for about two years. Our students register on the web every day. They can look up their course history, register for a new course, or check current class information." An online version of the catalog is available weeks before the printed version is distributed. Moore says, "We're not ready to get away from a hard copy of the catalog yet, but people know the web version is available and they use it. We're doing lots of email marketing and slowly shifting more and more marketing online and via email. It's a great way to grow enrollment." Another bonus with SDC? "Dennis is our programmer/tech guy, and you couldn't ask for better." Moore says "Dennis is awesome - he totally supports the product." |
