Bellingham, Washington loves Whatcom Community College Community Education and it shows. What does Whatcom love about Student Manager? Top Dog Reports!

Whatcom knows that it’s not the classes that eventually fill that need to be watched, it’s the ones that attract a spike in registrations in the first days after a brochure is mailed.

Whatcom loves statistics. No wonder. Careful tracking and management has reduced their cancellation rate to an impressive 10% -- including new classes. Their favorite statistics report? ‘Butts in seats’ otherwise known as the percentage of filled seats in a class.

“We experienced a huge gain in productivity when we implemented Student Manager," says Greg Marshall, Director of Community Education. "In the ten years I’ve been here, nothing else has had as great an impact. We use it to manage our entire backend infrastructure.”

And, while there are other programs in Bellingham that offer similar educational opportunities, the largest, and the only one using ACEware, is Whatcom.

Says Marshall, “ACEware has helped us to manage everything smoothly from start to finish and is our edge over our competitors.”
